The Waxham Way
To ensure the continued operation of Waxham Summer Camp, it is essential to foster a culture of care.
Below are important guidelines to consider!
- To those new to the campsite, the site is split into four fields, A, B, C and D and a 6 metre distance must be kept between tents if you are not part of a group.
- Your car must be parked next to your pitch.
- Campsite will require you to be 18 years or older if you want to camp without parents and an ID will be required on registration.
- At the end of your stay, please check out at the site office by 12 noon, If you decide to stay longer then come and see us at the office to renew your stay.
- Wrist bands are to be worn at all times and you must be able to show your booking ticket when we do regular checks or when leaving and entering site again.
- All fires must be off the ground and a water bucket must be close by in case of emergency.
- Please take note of all fire stations on site in case of emergency!
- In adverse dry weather all fires may be banned or moved to the communal fire area between C and D fields.
- Please leave all Fireworks at home as they are not permitted.
Poplar Farm is a working poultry site and fireworks causes chickens panic and stress, even suffocation. Not only are they disruptive to the harmony of our campsite, the beautiful wildlife, they brings a bad reputation to the site from surrounding areas. - A maximum of 2 dogs per family is allowed and they must be kept under control and on a lead at all times including when walking around site.
Dogs are not allowed to wonder around freely. All dog excrement is the responsibility of the owner and must be collected in bags, tied up and put in dog bins provided.
Owners of specific dogs listed under the dangerous dogs act from 1st February 2024 are legally bound to comply with the legislation set out in the act. - Poplar Farm Campsite is a public space and failure to comply with the legislation could result in criminal proceedings.
- The sand dunes near the campsite are wildlife havens and must be respected.
Please keep clear of rubbish of any kind and pick it up if you see any.
Parents and guardians are responsible of the children at the sand bowl, it is not the campsite responsibility to look after the children there. - Respect your fellow campers.
- No loud music between 10.00pm and 10.00am.
- No quad bikes or engine boats are permitted on site.
- In case of Adder/snake bites, the Doctors number is 01692 582000
- The management has the right to refuse entrance to anyone abusing staff, the campsite or other campers.
- Rudeness or aggression will not be tolerated.
- Please respect these requirements and ensure you comply with the rules.
